Full-text search & filters
Find any document by title, content, correspondent or tags. Saved views from the web interface work in the app too.
Scan & upload
Capture paper with the built-in document scanner or upload files. Without a connection, uploads wait in a queue and are never lost.
Receipt scanner
File digital receipts by their QR code: PaperNext downloads the PDF or image and adds it as a document, optionally with fixed tags.
ASN labels
Scan the label on a paper original and land on the matching digital document instantly, even offline.
Analytics & home screen
Charts about your archive, such as expenses from a monetary field or new documents per month, plus a toolbar with your shortcuts.
Tags, fields, versions

PaperNext connects directly to the paperless-ngx server you enter. Your documents don't pass through our servers, there's no cloud in between, and nothing is collected for advertising or analytics.
- Encrypted credentialsTokens and passwords live in the device keychain or keystore, never in plain text.
- No account with usYou only sign in to your own server. There's no registration, email address or login with us.
- Direct connectionThe app only talks to the server you enter, optionally secured with 2FA, a client certificate and a biometric app lock.

Is PaperNext free?
Yes. The app is free and ad-free, with all features.
Which paperless-ngx versions does PaperNext support?
PaperNext supports paperless-ngx 2 and 3 and detects the version automatically.
Is PaperNext still in beta?
Yes. PaperNext is regularly available in the App Store and on Google Play; joining TestFlight or a testing program is no longer necessary. The app is still labeled beta, though: new features arrive regularly and occasionally something may not work perfectly yet. Feedback helps a lot.
Where is my data stored?
Your documents stay on your own paperless-ngx server. PaperNext keeps a local copy on your device for fast access. PaperNext contains no advertising or analytics SDKs.
